D A Ain't got no money to spend D A I hope this night will never end D A Lord knows I'm weak D E Won't somebody get me off of this reef Baby you're a big blue whale I grab the reef when all duck-diving fails I swim but I wish I never learned The water's too polluted with germs I dive deep when its ten feet overhead Grab the reef underneath my bed Ain't got no quarrels with God Ain't got no time to grow old Lord knows I'm weak Won't somebody get me off of this reef (repeat intro) [instrumental verse] Ain't got no quarrels with God Ain't got no time to grow old Lord knows I'm weak Won't somebody get me off of this reef (let E ring to end)

Notes & Tabs

Intro Riff

Here is how to play the intro and sound like the album version. Specifically, the walk-down after the Bm and the riff after the A.

Repeat this twice, and note that you only play the A-riff the first time, and alternatively let the A chord ring the second time.

e-|-----0-------2----------------3--------0------------------
B-|-----2-------3----------------3--------2------------------
G-|-----2-------4-------4--2-----0--------2------------------

About

My name is David Potsiadlo, and I created Songnotes to share my collection of guitar tabs, chords, and lyrics for my favorite songs.

Since I started playing guitar over 10 years ago, I've often been frustrated by the preponderance of mediocre and incomplete song tabs littered across the internet. To combat this, I started keeping my own collection of notes for each song I learn -- always taking the extra time to make sure accuracy and completeness are never compromised. Years later, my collection grew to the point where I knew I had to share it online with fellow aspiring musicians.

In December 2012, I began designing & developing a website that became Songnotes. Here, I share my personal collection of hand-crafted music notation with all those online. I hope you enjoy.
